A better start into working life
Your first job can feel a lot like your first kiss: exciting, but also nerve-wracking. It’s a step you want to get right, but you don’t always know where to start. toget, a Norwegian start-up, helps make that step easier. Together with Assist Digital Netherlands, it created toget.work, a platform that prepares young people for their first job and connects them directly with employers ready to give them that first opportunity.

First job real barriers
The problem starts with the rules of recruitment itself. Traditional hiring rewards experience, polished CVs and demonstrated skills, things most teenagers have not yet had the chance to build. That gap matters, not only when it comes to getting a job, but also in how confidently young people step into adult life.
Guiding into the world of work
The challenge goes beyond an empty CV. Teenagers want to prove themselves in jobs that fit them, yet often lack clarity on where to start. Many feel unprepared and worry about making mistakes before they have even applied.
Instead of figuring it out alone, toget helps them show who they are, what they can do, and what they are ready to learn. This thinking became a platform where teenagers can prepare, connect and get hired, all in one place.
Within a matter of months, the strategy, naming and visual identity were delivered and the first version of the platform was launched.

Holistic help from CV to first job
The toget.work app now guides teenagers step by step towards their first job. From launch it offers:
- Real opportunities with launching employer LICC - Large Ice Cream Company and already expanding to more employers, giving access to real jobs from day one.
- A guided CV builder that helps teens create a relevant CV from scratch by answering a few simple questions, and grow it as they gain experience.
- Teens can build practical skills and knowledge through short courses. With partners such as Nordea, financial literacy and practical training are built into the journey, allowing them to earn certificates that strengthen their CV.

Youth hiring simplified
But confidence on the teen side only works if hiring becomes easier on the employer side too. The platform therefore includes a dedicated youth hiring system. Each company receives a secure admin environment where vacancies can be published and applicants managed throughout the hiring journey, from job posting to day one on the job.
The youth hiring system supports organisations with multiple entities and locations, giving hiring teams a single place to manage youth recruitment. Because it fits into the systems employers already use, adoption becomes straightforward in day-to-day hiring.

Result: #1 app in Norway
The response has been strong. The toget.work app is live in Norway on iOS and Android and reached number one on Norway’s App Store charts in its first week. Downloads continue to grow, and employers are actively requesting access to the platform. We can’t help with a first kiss. But with the toget platform, we show that we can help young people land their first job with confidence.
With a strong launch behind it, the focus now shifts to growth: scaling to new markets and sharpening the platform based on real user behaviour.
